Our Hotel
Posada del Lago Hotel and Restaurant, in Huasca, Hidalgo, was founded in the year 1981 by Mrs. Enriqueta Soto Aguirre, one of its main characteristics is its Mexican traditional cooking style, could be some variations according to the season of the year. When started, its capacity was for only 50 people, nowadays, the capacity has reached up to 200 people. There are several anecdotes, one example is the tale of the famous painter Carlos Medina, who one day went to eat receiving by the personnel a tour around all the attractive of the place, he was amazed by the place, but he expressed that it was a very beautiful place but lacked some decoration… three months later he invited the hotel to an exposition of his art, attending the invitation, we were surprised when he gave us three of his paintings as a gift for our restaurant decoration. We also had the pleasure of having Arturo Moyers, another painter who recommended all of the TURISSSTE agencies to send entire groups to eat at our restaurant, the best one in the Huasca region; this helped us getting known because every client who visits us always comes back with their families.

We have a Temascal area on 4 of our rooms, a massage area, organic crop area with corn, beans, peaches, apples, asparagus and artichoke. A view towards the San Antonio lake and a staff that will treat you with a warm and personalized service, only 5 minutes away from attractions like: Prismas Basaltitos, Pena del Aire, las Truchas, and Haciendas from mineral benefits like: San Miguel Regla, San Antonio Regla, Santa Maria Regla the last one being the oldest of Latin America and founded by the Count Romero de Terrenos.
We cultivate our own vegetables with 100% natural products.
Our restaurant is currently in process of being approved by the ISO9000:2000 Standard.
